The 5th Inter-Regional Hotel and Catering Fair will take place between 17 and 20 November 2008 in the Exhibition Park of Roche-sur-Foron.
It is organised by the Fair of Upper Savoy and Mont-Blanc and it is a professional trade fair that takes place twice a year and is for all those involved in the hotel industry (including outdoor accommodation), catering, local authorities and food industries.


This event gives manufacturers and distributors of equipment, agro-products and services the opportunity to meet a quality clientele comprising hospital professionals, local authorities and food industries.

Over 100 exhibitors are expected on 6,000 m² of exhibition space
The 2006 event will be strengthened by the presence of large brand leaders, such as Alpagel, Argos,Bigallet, Bonduelle, Brake, Cafés Folliet, Chomette Favor, Eurocave, France Boissons, Frima, Miele, Le Petit Forestier, Pomona, Winterhalter…

Qualified visitors from (in 2004) Upper Savoy (78 %), Savoy (12 %), Isère (3 %),
Ain (3 %) and the Canton of Geneva (2 %) will be able to discover new products and the latest market trends.

A place for discussion, meeting and selling, the SIHM is also an information centre with the latest news on the hotel and catering industry and on the difficulties encountered by professionals in the sector.
Demonstrations, lectures and tasting sessions will take place throughout the fair providing a service that is both dynamic and of a high quality.


This year, training of young people will occupy a special place thanks to the participation of hotel and catering schools from Upper Savoy. The "François Bise" hotel and catering school in Bonneville would like to invite us to learn about "molecular gastronomy", for which Herve This, a physico-chemist at INRA (French national agronomic research centre) and member of the Collège de France is the main instigator.

The "Savoie Léman" hotel and catering school in Thonon-les-Bains, will be giving demonstrations of "vacuum cooking".
You should also note that Mr. Rémy COSTE will be present, the Best Worker in France (MOF) as will Mr. Marcel LESOILLE, the world oyster worker champion via Euro-Toques.

With their presence and their involvement, the Federation of hotel, cafe owners and restaurant owners union of Upper Savoy and Euro-Toques will make a contribution by providing events, lectures and advice.

A vast programme where all visitors will find something to suit their own interests.
