Screw cutting at the top

The SIMODEC trade fair has been organised every two years since 1954 and has become an institution which brings together manufacturers and suppliers of the screw cutting sector.
At the heart of the Arve Valley – the world’s highest geographical concentration of screw cutting companies - the SIMODEC trade fair will welcome exhibitors over an exhibition surface of 24 000 m² at the La Roche-sur-Foron (Haute-Savoie) exhibition centre.

The fair attracts over 14 000 visitors, including 15% from abroad, originating from 40 different countries.

This professional exhibition will be the meeting of exhibitors specialised in machine tools, machine tool accessories, tooling, automation and robotics, assembly, metrology and control, raw materials and services.

ARVE-INDUSTRIES HAUTE-SAVOIE MONT-BLANC

The competitiveness cluster will be present at the heart of the fair. Visitors will be able to meet the cluster’s partners in a joint exhibition area companies. SIMODEC and its historical partners (National Screw Cutting Association and the Technical Centre for Screw Cutting), joined since 2006 by Arve-Industries Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc , are today combining their forces to satisfy the requirements of industrial companies.

Concentration of technological talents

The SIMODEC 2008 trade fair is being prepared in a favourable climate, particularly in the Arve Valley where companies seem to have recovered a satisfactory volume of business. We are currently observing the return to France of the production of certain products which had been relocated abroad.

Today we can note that leading companies are focusing more and more on the production of extremely technical parts, which means they have to invest in new machines and provides good medium-term business prospects.
For the trade fair this phenomenon has resulted in an increase in exhibition surface for the machine tool stands.

For 5 days the SIMODEC exhibitors will be presenting their latest innovations and all their solutions for machine tools, cutting tools, metrology, information technology, environment and services so that all the players in this industry can have at their disposal the necessary tools to meet the requirements of their customers.

This biennial fair is without any doubt the reflection of a whole profession.
